Greetings from Kapstad!!

Hello all! I made it safe and sound to South Africa, or as it is known in Germany as Kapstad(this little bit of knowledge is good to know if you are flying to Cape Town via Germany because that is how it is posted on the departure screen, which may cause a minor freak out when wondering why your flight to "Cape Town" isn't posted). The journey was long and I made my lay-over entertaining by people watching. I found a prime spot, a chair in front of an escalator and next to a confusing sign, which means it is was the perfect storm for people watching. They were confused, frustrated, worried, rushed, and the cherry on top of the sundae was they were leaving their luggage carts directly in front of the escalator!!! It was great!!
I watched plenty of movies on the plane, the stretch of movies from Portland to Frankfurt was not that great but Frankfurt to Cape Town had some great movies(thank goodness). I recommend "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford". Upon arrival the sun was rising and I was delirious on my 2 or so hours of sleep and made a new friend with my cab driver. He also runs a tour company so I may be seeing him again. It was so nice to arrive on a Sunday because everyone was home and relaxed!! I only took one nap and slept all through the night. Which considering the journey is really saying something. We ended up going to the Hucke family farm and then to Spier wine farm. It was a gorgeous day and it ended up in the 80's.
The journey was long and painful(on my rear!!) but well worth the journey to see Mckenzie Rolf, and the new and beautiful Zoe. I have been holding Zoe, and rocking her a lot in her pram (that's stroller for all of us Americans!!!). I have been taking lots of pictures and will post them tomorrow. There is talk of a Rugby on Friday with the Super 14 league. I will let you know about that for sure!!!

I will write again soon. I am missing you all and hope to hear from you all soon. I Love you!!!
